Dangerous Dan and The Disasters are playing for the Cascade Blues Association's
Monthly Meeting in March, held at the Melody Ballroom
(downstairs, 615 SE Alder St. Portland, OR)
The
CBA had this to say in the March 'BLUES NOTES':
For the electric portion of the evening, you'll be treated to one of the region's
top up-and-coming young bands, Dangerous Dan and The Disasters.
Having been together for a little under two years, this group holds some mighty
fine dynamics as a Blues band, but they just don't stop there.
They can blend in Jazz and Funk with relative ease. The trio of Dan Wooldridge (guitar),
Ed Newton (bass) and Lynn King (drums) have come together from distant parts along
the West Coast to join forces and are guaranteed to offer our remote location of
the Northwest with some extraordinary hot music! Once you catch this band,
you're certainly going to want to see them again and again.

Come on out and show your support.

•A nice story on The Kalama Blues Benifit (7/26/03) and photo of Dangerous Dan in The Daily News.
"And it was sooooo hard to have the blues Saturday.
With whiffs of slow-cooked bourbon beef ribs in the air, the eighth annual
Kalama Blues Festival kicked off at noon with one of the city's own on stage.
Kalama native and guitarist Dan Wooldridge and his band, Dangerous Dan and the Disasters.
Basking in sunshine and under a tent of blues skies, heads bobbed and toes tapped
to the hopping performance as Wooldridge cranked out song after song."
